Saw one of the spots on French language TV last night during a hockey broadcast (crowded room and sound was off, so I'm not sure which one). Surprised to see a French version this early (usually they are about 10-15 days before a movie hits the screens around here).

It seems that in one shot, not only does the Kelvin have the CWIS style phase turrets, but the main phaser batteries are pop up style as well...

Definitely a few new things there. Establishes whose line "Either we're going down... or they are" is, but doesn't confirm the "you're captain now" one.

Just a guess, but I believe the voice saying "You're captain now, Mr. Kirk," is Faran Tahir.

That's what I am thinking as well.

I don't doubt it. I had the same thought back here, and I wasn't the only one.

Just caught this spot during a midnight airing of "Dirty Jobs" on Discovery. Not a giant fan of the rock music, really, but I think this will definitely get the butts of the 18-34 male demographic in the seats.

I just saw this spot again on Comedy Central. "Either we're going down... or they are" seems to be a new line for the spots, but I like it! [Should I say it? Trying not to say it... but I want to say it... what the hell...] "It's exciting!"

I'm interested to see what new tag line will be remembered by both Trekkies and new watchers of this movie. I think, "I like this _____. It's exciting!" will be the new catch phrase.
