hi i'm news to the site and i would like to know if there are any plans for a new series of star trek in the making or the near future, as i am i huge fan.thanks

No they just relaunched the series in the movies but there are no plans for a ne TV series.

For the time being, Star Trek exists only as movies. A sequel to Abrams Trek has been greenlit, so that's what we have to look forward to. Nothing official regarding a new TV series, and I wouldn't hold my breath any time soon.
