You know i think it is better than the last one, and still not good.

also i feel like I may have seen it before...

Hands down, best Doctor Who logo ever:

Apologies if this is repeating anything (I don't have time to scan 10 pages of thread), but apparently the BBC has unveiled a horizontal version of the logo which could end up being what gets shown in the opening credits:

I didn't notice this earlier. Just as an aside, the Canadian Doctor Who Information Network had some harsh words for how the reconstituted Doctor Who News Page handled the announcement. Have to say I'm not in disagreement (it's been 10 days and I always trolling the DWNP and I'm just finding out about the alternate logo now, via a site I only check occasionally). To be fair they did eventually post something the whole world could see, but they should have done so at the start.

I would be very surprised if that new "side by side with the insignia in the middle" style logo turned out to be what's shown in the credits.

The logo itself (stacked top to bottom) minus the insignia is decent enough, but that one you just posted is pure cheese.

However it's the one the BBC has up right now and -- referring back to some discussion near the top of this thread -- it makes more sense to have a vertical logo due to the widescreen format (and remember the show wasn't made in widescreen from 63-89, nor was the movie).

And frankly all logos are "pure cheese" to an extent.

I like the logo. I don't like the "DOCTOR WHO" font. And the Photoshop-ish effects are too much. Should not have ventured beyond a vector program. But it is the best Who logo yet.
