Could We Ever Have Sci-Fi Tech Like the ‘Star Trek’ Transporter? A New Roddenberry Entertainment Podcast Finds Out

On April 5, Roddenberry Entertainment, the company behind the “Star Trek” universe, launches a brand new sci-fi podcast called “Does It Fly?” that answers one of the biggest questions sci-fi geeks love to ponder: Could the technology we love in out-there science fiction franchises someday exist in real life?

Interestingly, science fiction films and TV series such as Star Trek often inspire us to think about what the future may hold for humanity. Is it possible to create advanced technologies such as transporters that carry objects from one point to another? New podcast "Does It Fly?" from Roddenberry Entertainment intends to explore this topic and share opinions on how real such technologies are. At first glance, transporters seem extremely fantastic and unrealistic, but in fact, many of the technologies that were once considered science fiction already exist or are in the process of being developed.
