New intros to the films by Nimoy & Frakes

Frakes is such a warm and endearing guy. Thanks for the links. I enjoyed his intros to all four of the TNG movies, even though I only like one of them. He managed to make it entertaining even to hear about the bad ones. It was neat to learn that he was friends with Ron Perlman in the 80s, so they were reunited on "Star Trek: Nemesis".

Also funny that in his anecdote they agreed that they're both too old to be action heroes at that point, yet Perlman would do probably his most action-packed role ever with "Hellboy" two years later.

The only thing I didn't like was him saying Ru'afo was one of their best villains. That's a bit deluded. Also, Perlman is in a show called "Sons of Anarchy", not "Sons of Jericho". :p

These are really cool - thanks for posting. I really wonder what they're being used for.

I saw this after my post. On one of the videos, there's a user comment stating that they aired in Britain on Film4 as part of a recent Trek movie marathon.

This. Film4 ran a Star Trek weekend a couple of months ago, first five films on Saturday, then 6-10 on Sunday, and these ran before them.

I've never heard Frakes with a slight New York accent before. In the First Contact intro, he says (with a sincere, adorable exuberance, by the way) "We blow up a pah-tay-tah garden!"

Also, hearing Nimoy say the term "Ghetto Blaster" sure made my day! (which I repeat in the youtube thread)

I always love to hear Leonard Nemoy and his "layin' it as it was" narrative style.

Jonathan Frakes had some good comments as well.

Frakes looks smokin' in those clips. But, I guess I'm biased!

As a straight guy, I can admit that Frakes looked really handsome back in his prime. Even now he's not bad looking, just old LMAO.

Frakes does look awesome. I think he looks his absolute best in FC, but as I watch INS, he still looks great.

Thanks for the links, those were good intros. Frakes is always fun to hear from, he's the Trek Cheerleader and always some good story or tidbit. Hearing him on the Leverage episode commentaries was a hoot.

He's 60 next year, so I guess we can cut him some slack. :)

My swashbuckling and dashing heroes are growing older. :(

Yeah I feel this way too man. I thought it sucked to lose DeForest Kelley, and then James Doohan.

Frakes is still young if he's only 60. Patrick Stewart is probably around 80 now? Shatner and Nemoy are getting close to 90 themselves.

^ I once realized that Shatner will one day pass away... and that, on that day, I will be very, very sad.
