People on LJ are talking about how that energy is the artron energy that surrounds the TARDIS, etc, so this is probably just an early scene somewhere in Part 1 and it probably just "stuns" the Doctor.

I'm doubting they'd show anything climactic in a sneek peek clip.

Why do people think this is anything to do with the regeneration? It's not like we've never seen the Doctor taking electric-based punishment in his stride before. In fact wasn't his nigh-invulnerability to such part of the solution in Evolution of the Daleks?
