Ah, of course. Still, IMDb isn't reliable for future projects.
I googled "jimmy chimarios star trek discovery" and all I found was this trekbbs thread, and another page which basically regurgitates this thread and claims to be "Exclusive". Not even going to bother including the link because I don't want to increase the hit count of a page that adds no additional value. Feeling stingy and cranky this morning, and the caffeine lift from my coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
On a more constructive note, I wonder if the lack of information or a casting announcement is because Jimmy is simply pals with somebody else in the photo/tweet, and isn't in the Discovery cast.

Um..it's a cast pic tweet calling him "a castmate". So he's on the show.
Yes, there is no confirmation elsewhere yet but this has happened several times already and they were always confirmed in another round of cast announcements.

CBS has been announcing cast very, very, very oddly. Most likely due to the SMG situation (Walking Dead conflict). So... just because someone isn't announced doesn't mean they're not on it. Likewise, we don't know who is regular VS guest/recurring. The Klingons, Rainn Wilson, Sarek - all suspected/thought to not be regular cast, but guest.
