Netflix question relating to star trek

Yeah, I've been contemplating on whether getting a netflix account or not, and i figured this forum will definitely answer my question: Does netflix currently show all the different series of Star Trek from TOS to Enterprise? I own the TOS movies from I-VI and TOS is stored in my computer so it wont be a problem if they are not featured.

Several of the series are set to go up in April. They didn't specify if it was every series or just a few of them however.

Even without Star Trek, Netflix is a fantastic service. You will not have time to watch half the stuff you want to.

The first month is free, so you might as well try it.

They're lacking in Star Trek at the moment, but they have plenty of other sci-fi.

Deal with CBS, shows being added in early April
http://netflix.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=43&item=384

Content covered under the new deal includes the long-running drama, "Medium" and the summer season favorite, "Flashpoint." Also covered under the agreement are episodes from some of television's most iconic franchises. Full seasons of sitcom greats "Frasier," "Family Ties" and "Cheers" will be streaming instantly from Netflix. Episodes from the original "Hawaii Five-0" are included in the package, as are episodes from all generations of the definitive sci-fi series, "Star Trek," and the cult favorite, "Twin Peaks." Installments of '60s classics, "The Twilight Zone" and "The Andy Griffith Show," will be available as well.

Wow that sounds epic. Ill definitely start my subscription on April, I just hope I use it to its full advantage :D

^Just so you know, a lot of FOX shows are supposedly being yanked off Netflix streaming come April 1st. See the other two Netflix threads on here (on TNZ and TV & Media).

Media Politics and Bureaucrats MUST DIE!

Starz and now FOX? Damn politics and bureaucrats. At first it seemed Netflix might have been finally helping people cut the cord, but now that they're under fire from every content provider these days, the future doesn't look so bright.

...but let's hope I'm wrong; I'm a damn pessimist. At least CBS is swooping in for the Trekkies finally! :techman:

I guess i'd better get those Dollhouse episodes watched before they pull the Fox stuff...

I pay for the Netflex instant stream and it was awesome when they had the ST movies up and all that other stuff but now its annoying because nothing I like is on Netflix. Now knowing that all these other stations are pulling out is just freakin frustrating as hell.

Netflix's biggest mistake was purchasing exclusive new content. All the tv stations started getting concerned when that happened.

Netflix signing at deal with CBS doesn't necessarily means it'll take effect on the first. ;) Depends on the contract they made up.

Unless you have a Roku box, where it's frustratingly difficult to get anything to work right at the moment. I don't know how Netflix screws up the API for Roku, but it's happening more and more often.

So far, Buffy, Angel, X-Files, Firefly, and Dollhouse are still on Netflix and there is no removal date on any of them yet. Hope this is just a rumor.

No Star Trek on Netflix yet. I wonder when Netflix is putting the shows up this month...

Edit: http://blog.netflix.com/2011/03/glee-available-to-watch-instantly.html

Netflix renewed their deal with FOX, so Buffy, Angel, etc are staying. Plus we'll get some new FOX shows soon...like The Wonder Years!!! :)

Here's hoping we get House sooner or later too!

I'm sick of waiting!!! Where are the TREK shows??

Let's get it in gear, Netflix!

Keep in mind that trekkies will be complaining to netflix about every glitch (even if it it's just that the god-awful TNG clip-show episode isn't available). I believe the announcement said "early april" rather than april 1.

Well, there is great news and sigh worthy news about Trek on Netflix...

The good news is that we WILL be getting all of Star Trek (all live action shows) for download on Netflix streaming...

The sigh worthy news is that the orignal Trek, Next Gen, Enterprise, and Voyager won't be up until July 1st.

Deep Space 9 won't be up until....drum roll please....OCTOBER! *sigh*

Still, at least all five of the shows will be up this year! :)

Reminds me exactly of when TNN/SpikeTV had purchased a license to air all of the television shows (except TOS), but they aired TNG for up to two years alone, followed by DS9 for only one year, and then when they finally got around to VOY, they scheduled it at some really screwed up time slots (like 2AM).

OH! And lookie! That was the tweet I sent them! :D :D :D
