Nero's scars/missing ear

Ar-Pharazon

Sorry if this has been covered.

I was looking at the deleted scenes today. When Nero is on the table in the Klingon prison being threatened with the Centaurian Slug, I got a good look at the scars on his head.

I'd swear they look like bite marks. They're in a semi-circular pattern similar to a lower or upper jaw.

Any back-story to this?

He spent some time volunteering at a shelter for abused animals. I'm pretty sure there was a deleted scene.

Glad to see Abrams decided to keep those mechanical rice pickers in canon. Infernal fucking machines.

The issues of the Nero comic will indeed be combined into a graphic novel. But I'm warning you, it's fanwank on a larger scale than Countdown was.

Ugh. I didn't think that was possible. Countdown was the only thing I hated about Star Trek XI. I couldn't believe it was based on a story by the same writers that wrote the movie. Then I saw Transformers 2.

No, after escaping from Rura Penthe, Narada, now under full control of its Borg components took Nero and crew to the Delta Quadrant where they met V'Ger.

I'm serious. That's actually what happened in the comic.

^Well, remember: the reason they deleated the scene was because it revealed too much, too soon.

It was a dang good sequence (and it shows how supremely awesome Nero is), but it was one of those "Super-cool scenes that HAVE to go, even though you don't WANT to get rid of'em, and AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!" :scream:
