Hi. This is a little something I made to practice my editing, thought I'd share.

I wish I knew where I could get clips of stuff in a format suitable for use in Windows Movie Maker...

I used a program called HandBrake which allows you to take stuff right off DVDs, granted you have a DVD drive on your PC. I then brought the resulting mp4 files into iMovie. I use a Mac, but I'm guessing HandBrake can do a number of different video formats.

It says it only does MPEG-4. I'll have to check to see if Windows Movie Maker supports that format. If not, I can't do anything with it until I get back to school, then I can stick the files on my flash drive and take them to a computer lab so I can use a Mac.

Outputs:

File format: MP4, AVI or OGM
Video: MPEG-4 or H.264 (1 or 2 passes or constant quantizer encoding)
Audio: AAC, MP3, Vorbis or AC-3 pass-through (supports encoding of several audio tracks)

I pulled that right off the site.
