My father in law saddly passed away last month (age 58). He was a life long trek fan and has a very large collection of trek items. As no one in the faimly is a big fan we are tryng to deside what we should do with it.
The collection includes but is not limited to:
14 pewter Statues (ships mostly some with certificates of authenticiy I believe)
31 Hamilton collector plates (all with certificates of authenticiy)
20 snow globes (ships mostly)
30th anniversary TV Guide set in display case with commerative coin
Opening night movie posters for First Contact and Generations.
DVD sets of All movies both standard and Special editions.
Complete DVD sets for TV serise: "The Orignal Series", "The Next Generation", "Deep Space 9", "Voyager" and "Enterprise.
Books too many to list but to give an idea of what is here one is "Star Fleet Technical Manual, training command star fleet academy" copyright 1975 1st edition startdate 7511.01 (I like this one alot).
And SOOOOO much more it would take forever to type it here.
What we would like to know:
Where is the best place to get current value of the above items?
What is the best way to go about selling the above if we deside to go that route?
It breaks our hearts to break this collection up but the only other option at this time before us is to box everything up and place it in storage. This also does not seem to be the right thing to do.
I too am a fan but I can't see my house covered wall to wall like his is.
Any help on this would be great.
Thanks guys and gals
