Need Help With A Song

I listen to Coast To Coast AM With George Noory pretty much every night and the talk show has bumper music of course. Now there is this one particular song they play that is maybe my favourite out of all the rest of them but I don't know the name of the song. I can describe a little of how it begins...there is a man and he's speaking louder and louder before bursting into a fit of crazy laughter and then that is when the main song plays. At first I thought it was "Ride My See Saw" by the Moody Blues but when I played it there wasn't this little bit at the begining. The 'narration' if you want to call it that reminds me of when The Time Traveller in H.G. Wells Time Machine (the first movie) is watching all the styles in the shops change as he goes further and further into the future. Does anyone know this song? Thanks.

Yeah I thought this would be a toughie...the thing is though that this song is probably a well known 70's or 80's pop song, I'm just not describing it very well.

A friend of mine helped with the song...it was Depature by The Moody Blues, mods feel free to remove this post now.

If it's a bumper song, the C2C website lists all of the songs used on their website.

I know you've already found out the name of this particular tune, but for future queries, thought you'd like to know.

Actually, your first instinct was basically correct. The "main song," as you put it, is indeed "Ride My See Saw." "Departure" is the poem that serves as the lead-in to the song on the album "In Search of the Lost Chord."

Most of the time the two are played together on the radio, but the single-edit of "See Saw" doesn't include the intro.
