NEED CUSTOM UNIFORM AND SHIP DESIGNS!!!

Hamish Westbury

Ensign
Newbie
Hi guys,
I need help from you, I am currently working on making a fan TV show on YouTube of other parts of the universes we know and love and one is Star Trek I need Starfleet uniforms and ships with approximate years uniforms should be able to be made cheap
The ship is called the A.U.S thylacine needs 3-D render
I will give full credit to the designers
Thank you fellow fans

I believe your request is contrary to the CBS Fan-Film Guidelines. If you buy uniforms, CBS wants you to buy from an officially licensed vendor. Mr. Van Citters did say in a podcast that they would probably look the other way if you made costumes yourself, but to seek out an unlicensed (by CBS) tailor seems to something they would frown upon.

Sir,
My fan-film would make no reference to the show other than being in Starfleet otherwise there would be no association

If it is a "Star Trek fan film" (as described in your first post) then it would need to follow the guidelines.

Unless I'm misreading the first post...

He's doing a mash-up of different franchises and needs some Starfleet uniforms. That's the gist.

Ah, I did misread then.

Still, I think the rules apply.
Depends on the content and the way it's used. Technically, you can't copyright a fashion design, but you can trademark something like the flying-A delta symbol Trekuses, so you can put people in cloned uniforms willy-nilly so long as you don't put that logo on them. You could and would likely win that battle in court, as it's an old precedent, but who wants to deal with it? If the film otherwise isn't full of Trek stuff that usage falls under Fair Use.

All that said, projects asking for help for a film without having demonstrated any track record of having produced anything tends not to get much love, for obvious reasons.

Are you looking for 3D models? Perhaps take a look at signing up for SANSUR, a 3D-virtual world. I believe theres some trek projects there.

I would make them myself as well I just need reference images

And for the logo I would put a different logo with a normal star instead

And my uniform will be inspired by a design which is put in this exchange of information as requested
FYI, you might want to read the board rules and learn to use the Multiquote feature here because the board considers it spamming if you post multiple times sequentially in a single thread as you have above.
