So the general NCIS thread gets a lot of activity but not the weekly episode thread?

I gave it an excellent.

I really enjoyed this one. I was ambivalent about whether or not I wanted the kid to be his. I think it could have been kind of cool if he was his but on the other hand it would have been a shame if he could have been in his son's life and hadn't been.

Overall a great episode though. :bolian:

ETA: :drool::drool::drool: at the picture Aragorn!! Thanks. *sigh*

I knew it wasn't going to be his kid because you only do that to your lead character if it's the final season. Just ask Angus MacGyver.

Didn't know where they were going with it until Vance mentioned what Gibbs' mission was, then you just knew they'd make the drug lord Gibbs killed the father.

It would have been fine without that last sentence. That just ruined it.
Doesn't Gibbs have all of his fingers? Is it just a fantasy that those who trained the Colombian military and police actually where killing drug lords who still seem to exist.

Did anyone else have problem with the audio during the first few minutes of the episode? It seemed like our TV station was broadcasting the music and some of the background noise, but the dialogue was really muted and inaudible. We were just getting ready to turn the subtitles on when the rest of the sound kicked in.

BTW, pretty average episode but still thoroughly diverting and entertaining.

I thought it was average.

The much hyped "message from the past" meant little to me given that it was in reference to something viewers had never even heard of.

I thought the episode was probably meant to highlight former agent Mike Franks's abilities as an investigator.

I thought it would've been cool if the "cryptic message" was from the family of the Mexican drug runner that killed Gibbs wife and daughter (later killed in Mexico by Gibbs), now seeking revenge of their own.

I thought it was above average, didn't figure the kid for Gibbs kid. I agree with firehawk12, we didn't need to have the last line. It could have kept us wondering a bit.

Sorry for being late to the party the last few weeks, RL is getting in the way.

^ Franks is always three steps ahead so I think he knew the truth.

I thought that this one was above average, but the last line knocked it down to average only for me. I knew when it was revealed he wasn't Gibbs' kid that Gibbs killed his dad.

:techman::lol: My absolute favorite NCIS moment, "Boondocks, boss." In fact I used a different youtube clip of that same scene in my first post in the General NCIS thread.

I gave this episode an above average, the last line (as everyone else has noted) was unnecessary and knocked it down from excellent.

Warmest Wishes,
Whoa Nellie

Yep. And later in that episode upon seeing that both of the cops had the same last name. I'm kind of guessing as to who said what exactly but it went like this:

Ziva: Brothers?
McGee: Cousins?
DiNozzo: Boondocks.

:lol::lol:
