The reason Director Vance reunited the team of Tony, Ziva and Tim -- so that Gibbs might find out which one of them stole his yogurt from the community refrigerator.

While investigating a mysterious suicide of a Navy Lieutenant aboard an aircraft carrier, DiNozzo learns that the suicide may actually be a part of a much deadlier scheme.

Good to have the team back together! McGee has gotten more confident, to be able to approach the Director. Not enough Ducky.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. I enjoyed seeing the team on an aircraft carrier again, even if McGee didn't get to come along.

Was it me or did it look blue screen?
I can never tell, since the show does get assistance from the Navy, but some of those shots looked really off for some reason.

As for the episode... eh, I dunno. I kind of wish they went with the new team concept for much longer because right now they're back into the formula. I guess you don't mess with success, but it's getting as boring as CSI now.

What they need to do is bring the conspiracy from The Unit to the show.

I think if there was ever a crossover, The Unit would take NCIS down without much of a fight. :p

Yeah, I particularly liked the really bad CGI F-18 parked near the fantail as Tony ran out there that magically transformed into a real F-14 (no longer in service) in the next stock footage shot.

Actually, pretty much all the special effects shots on the deck of the carrier throughout the episode looked really obvious.

It isn't as bad as the first season(s?) when they had old stock battleship shots that were really bad quality, I'm watching it in HD, and there's grainy VHS quality shots of boats that stick out like a sore thumb. Kinda hit's you hard when you see it looking so bad against the rest of it show. The stuff this episode looks far nicer; you can still tell, but it's not so horrid I took much notice of it, which is key for me.

Hey, nothing can compare to the craptacular quality of the missiles hitting the Chimera.

And we *still* watch. Why? It's a good show.

With the ratings NCIS gets you would think CBS would give them a decent CGI budget for the few episodes they need it.

I also wish they'd kept the team split up for a few more episodes. This ep was okay--but it was nice to finally get to Tony. I missed his wisecracks.

Yeah that would of been cool. I had the same feelings when Gibbs left the NCIS team, I knew he would be back, but I wanted them to do a few episodes without him. Instead they brought him back for every episode before he finally rejoined the team.

I wonder why they don't drag stories out. Sometimes there are stories that shouldn't be prolonged (just watch 24 or Heroes or Lost), but NCIS should try to break the formula with single-episode storylines and do some arcs once in a while.

For example, Gibbs being told one of his new team members is a spy could've been a cliffhanger for episode one.

That story line will probably continue on and off all season. We know its not done yet.

1. A new team being on for much longer than 1 or 2 episodes would be hard to get used to. That would mean either not showing Ziva, McGee, & Tony at all or trying to show Gibs + his new team and the old team members which though NCIS is making alot of $$$$ ...how much $ do you have to pay what would that be like 8-12 actors if you did the longer team arc while showing the old team members. And even if you only showed the new team the actors who play McGee, tony, and Ziva still get paid for being credited regular main cast members.

2. I hate CGI.:shifty:

anyways NCIS is a great show and ratings reflect that. the UNIT which I watch sometimes, my mothe rloves it..is a good show and sadly has been falling in ratings each season.

Nice to have the team back (well, okay, it's nice to have Tony and McGee back, and nice to be able to look at Ziva again :p), but I also wish they'd kept them apart for more than two episodes. Four or five episodes would have been better.
