NCC-1701E vs. NCC-1701A

Gary7

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Or, "Riker vs. Kirk".

It's a bit cheesy and rough around the edges with inconsistencies, but a little entertaining for those who like to bash TNG. ;)

Kirk: "Second star to the right... and straight on until morning."

Um... whose morning? ;)

Not bad but wow....look at all the uber geeks bashing the idea a Constitution class would win.

And here I was expecting a debate on how the E-A was a somewhat forced plot device to restore the TOS-type 'status quo' after raking the crew through the life-changing coals versus the E-E being a completely producer-instigated (coughBermancough) plot device designed to 'improve' the already perfectly adequate E-D, having destroyed it needlessly the previous film.

What does that say about me? :rommie:

I would put my money on the Kirk with a Connie class any day of the week. Riker couldn't even save the Ent-D (which had zero damage and a full crew complement) from an obsolete bird of prey. So much for the superior firepower of a galaxy class! Kirk (with a heavily damaged ship on basic automation) was able to take out a Klignon crew, plant his flag on their ship, and keep it as a trophy. Although he lost his ship and son, he repaid the Klignons with interest. If Kirk faced Riker with the Ent-A (after it was de-lemonized), he would have used Riker's superior smugness against him just as he had against Khan.
