NBC to remake Prime Suspect?

Although for some reason it says Prime Suspect was a BBC Drama when it was actually ITV.
Maybe the UK version was shown on BBC America So they decided just to said BBC so the audience knows what show they are on about?

Yeah, looks like it has aired on BBC America. So you're probably right, but for some reason it bugs me.
Bugs me too i always have to point out to people when they call a ITV,CH4 show a BBC show:lol:

Yeah, I don't know why it bothers me so much.

They can't say "ITV" - Americans would think that's some kind of medical technology. BBC is the only TV station in the UK Americans have ever heard of.

Most UK viewers have probably never heard of NBC, FX, TNT, AMC, etc but it'd still be factually wrong to say their shows were on FOX.

Maybe the people who run PR for the US networks think their audiences are dumb?
Please note i am not calling Americans dumb.

Prime Suspect was always shown on PBS, through the Mystery! series.
So that makes the whole BBC thing more confusing. Why not say ITV or even just British drama instead.

There out just to annoy us.:klingon:
Unless adding the BBC name to something makes the Americas think it going to be a higher quality?
