The NBC mockumentary sitcom "Trial & Error" is back for season 2, this time starring Kristen Chenoweth as the wealthy heiress accused of murdering her husband in the wacky southern town of Peck. The first 2 eps of season 2 premiered last night. I thought they were pretty good. The main cast is still the same, just with a new celebrity playing the accused. The writing has not changed. It's still just as good as last season. We still got the black lady with the weird fake disorders. And we got the "lead investigator" guy who is dumb-as-a-rock hick. We got the horny prosecutor lady and of course our naive defense attorney. We also got a new judge who is a low talker and is named Alexander Kamiltow. We got the crazy plot twists of did she do it or not and the hilarious history lessons of about the crazy town. I love the humor in this show.

You can watch the first two eps on the NBC website or Hulu.

The first season of this show was hilarious. Can't wait to see this season.

:techman:

Agreed. I don't think you will be disappointed with season 2. It is off to a great start. I love how this show just hits you with funny stuff in every scene. It never let's up.

Great to hear that season 2 is starting out strong. I loved the first season, especially the crime scene investigator who would corrupt every crime scene due to his chronic masturbation habit.
Frankly it was such a fun show, I was surprised that it was given a season 2.

Thanks for mentioning this. :techman: I had no idea the show was back. The first season was hilarious, and I'll definitely be checking this out now that I know it's back.

What's with the random cannonballs?

I think it hearkens back to last season where we learn that the town fires off a canonball at 5pm everyday as some type of civil war tradition. This season just took the joke one step further with with the lawyer getting a house in East Peck that happens to be in the path of the canonball. Totally hilarious!!

Ep 5-6 were great. I love how this show constantly throws plot twists in the mix. The court room scene at the end of ep 6 was probably the best moment in the series so far. The actor who plays Atticus Ditto Jr is always hilarious. And we see the return of the compulsive masturbating forensic scientist from season 1.
