NBC might not be saving Heroes

Reading stuff like this makes me feel sorry for American wrighters. There could be no stimulation for creativity in wrighting on demand of the TV stations and viewers.

"All too easy"

But the freudian implications are marvellous.

Wrighting and wrighters (if you curve the English language a little.) are to do with building boats and boat builders respectively.

Heroes, and I say this with complete conviction couldn't hold water, and I'd go on further to say that it was sinking till it sunk.

I've never seen what was so crazy about South Park--everytime I've caught an episode it looks it aims for the lowest common denominator and its humor is ridiculously low-brow. How something like that crap stays on for 14 years is astounding and what it says about our society is astonishing.

South Park ranges from brilliant societal commentary and parody to childish to downright idiotic. One problem is that sometimes you have to watch most of an episode to figure out which one it is. Another is that some of their analogies are so far out of whack for the sake of humour as to be flawed and actually harmful to the idea they're trying to get across.

You'd have to watch 20-30 random episodes to really get a flavour for what the show tries to do. Sometimes it's just a simple and humorous story about monsters trying to take over the town because a renown celebrity poisoned the water supply, sometimes it's about rehabilitating a drug-addicted anthropomorphic towel or an adventure the kids have skipping school to travel to the next town. Sometimes it's about abortion or terrorism or immigration. Almost every episode flaunts political correctness so anyone who's squeamish usually hates it from the get-go.
