???SNL-Thursday Night Live???

So we are taking SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE using its initials as a brand and going to have what? A 30 min or so sketch comedy show? What are we anticipating here?

Still unclear on what they want to do with an Office spinoff? I've heard this hit around with little about what it would entail.

^ Not a lot has been revealed about it other than NBC must have faith in it. It'll premire in the much sought after post Superbowl timeslot.

I hope that by "Winter 2009" they mean L&O will start in January 2009 (just like this season started in January '08). January qualifies as winter, doesn't it? :p

Life on Friday??? Granted, CBS has shown Fridays and Saturdays can be successful nights, but NBC doesn't exactly have a good track record and Life does not fit the Friday mold.

Uh, yeah, since it's the middle month of the season.
I was going by the definition of "winter" (which could mean early 2009, like January & February, or *late* 2009, i.e. November-December). I didn't know there was a special meaning to it, TV-wise.
Considering the format of the schedule presented as a whole, it could only mean early 2009 (in addition to the fact that Law & Order was on the winter schedule this season).

Furthermore, the definition of "winter" is December, January, and February:
Dictionary.com:
the months of December, January, and February in the U.S., and of November, December, and January in Great Britain.
Clearly, therefore, Emh's response that February is "the middle month of the season" is correct as per that definition. No idea what definition you were alluding to, Babaganoosh.

As to the schedule: Disappointed to see Life at 10pm on Friday. I work 'til midnight on that day, so I won't have a chance to watch it "live."

Ugh, I missed that. Plus it's at 10 PM. Hopefully it'll get the ratings to keep going, but I'm not happy about this change either.

Kath & Kim? A remake, or are they showing the original Australian show? (Considering US TV's aversion to anything non-homegrown, the former seems more likely.)
