I do not understand at this point after all that has gone on why characters would not drop their animosity(except towards Ben) and work towards a common goal. That goal being 'survival under the radar' given their situation.

I was just thinking that if the writers were thinking ahead they should have had the Losties helping to clear runway in the 3rd season to prove it to us.

Like Sawyer and Freckles breaking up and moving rocks?
