Something about tail draggers. You have to gun the throttle--and push the stick forward a bit to pop the tail lose--and have it level with the main wing. Then you pull back.
That's why tricycle gear is more the standard on everything these days.
In the earlier take--it sounded like the simulator was shouting "don't think."
I am told it is really "don't sink."

In terms of scaling a building--I think it makes less sense to climb than to drive:

A constant fan beats suction--though perhaps the two can be combined.
Firefighters could use a wall scaling vehicle.
