My two - year - old...

...is currently sitting in the basement, assembling bits of pipe, electrical covers and the cap from a spray paint can into a pretty cool shape. She's saying "I making Doctor Who house. I'm a Dalek."

Adorable. My five year-old looks at ANY screwdriver and immediately asks if it's Doctor Who's. :)

I already gave her the half-pint version of the 11-12 sonic. I have the full sizer. Halloween is quite potentially awesome.

My 4 year old is going to bring her Dalek to pre-school show-and-tell the week they do letter "D".

You know that song "Doctorin' the TARDIS" by the Time Lords? Yeah, if I go "Doctor, Doctor Whoo-oo," she responds with "and the Daleks" or vise versa.

I also taught her to shout "THUNDER!" when I go "Ah-ah-ah-ah-aaah-ah!"

my 3 year old loves wearing his fez and running round with his sonic screwdriver toy, but his favorite thing is his cuddly dalek, which has all of a sudden started going off by itself.

its made me jump a few times when the house is all quiet and all of a sudden you just hear "YOU WOULD MAKE A GOOD DALEK"

Awesome stuff. :)

We have a cardboard TARDIS poster in my 2 year old son's room... he likes to knock on the door, and wait for the Doctor to come out. :)

I was about 5 when I first got into Doctor Who on PBS in Southern California.

I vaguely recall watching the episode, "The Invasion of Time."

I wouldn't actually realize why The Doctor was called "Doctor Who" until years later when I found out that other actors portrayed the character.

I was young when I got into DW, too. I used to see Tom Baker and John Pertwee on PBS in Oregon. I couldn't figure out who they were each supposed to be, and then I saw The Five Doctors when I was like nine, tuned 10 minutes into it and was confused as all get-out.

My daughter asks to watch the Daleks every night, and now she calls her little contraptions Daleks instead of "Doctor Who house" because they really do look like Daleks.

Oh, and as I was typing I just figured out why she makes the "binoculars" gesture when we talk about Daleks. She's trying to mimic an eyestalk!
