thought i'd share my attempt at a romulan bird of prey.
this is the original tos era one that kirk came up against in balance of terror

may need to play with the ships lighting and experiment on the texture. i'll use this to build off it for another romulan ship.

Neat. I always liked a lot of the FASA designs. (Though a lot also sucked hard-core). Curiously, I liked especially their take of Klingon ships. Unmistakably klingon but not too derivative. My favorite FASA ship was the Klingon D-10. Do you take requests?

    Appreciatively,

can do what have you got in mind. when i do these ships i have problems getting the curves right. some times part of the reason i stick to the tos era very few curves, though you mentioning the d-10 that s one i may do in a while got my fed hospital ship to do and a scout yet though these may take some time (another reason why i stick to non federation ships at present ) also half way through a d-7 but for some reason I'm having problems getting the engineering hull right

well once you have the D-7 that D-10 should be a snap. After all, the only difference is the central hull. And that's pretty simple angles. If you've already got the command boom and the engines I imagine it should be simple to get put them all together.

got the L-13 fatman battleship done

it's one ugly ship even by fasa standards.
might have a crack at the d-10 next now i've got a decent boom and pod

I like all of your work, except a Romulan BOP with a neck like a Klingon cruiser? No.

    Galactic Squrrel,

I like your renderings. They seem quite accurate, and reflective of the accurate designs.

In my opinion, though, a lot of those FASA ships are butt-ugly and barely even look like anything out of Star Trek TOS or the movie era... Though the K-23 is closer.

It would be cool one day to re-do those kinds of designs. At least some of them, and make them look more reflective of ST:TOS and ST:Movie era designs.

thought i'd try my hand at a couple of saladin scout variations. the saladin is from fasas combat game

the first one is the uss north star. i moved the deflector into a housing at the bow of the ship
    [IMG]

the second one is the uss polaris with this version i added some torpedo tubes on the saucer

the third version i thought i would play with the idea of adding a hanger deck to the polaris
