My Season One Episode Grades

I recently uncovered the grades I gave to each episode (I did this for cataloguing purposes more than anything at first so I could remember which episodes I would want to watch again).

Under each letter grade (in case you were wondering), the episodes are just listed in airdate order. I found/find it too difficult to really rank them after that.

Overall season ranking: last (7/7)

A couple of things I'd like to say about the first season:

- there was only ever one more 'D' episode (for me, at least) in the remaining six seasons. What's sad is that there's two here! I make a point of this because I've watched a lot of other TV shows and I've never come across 'D' episodes outside of Trek. Weird.

- this and season two (again, for me) are the only seasons where there is no 'A+' episode (I differentiate between 'A' and 'A+' because when I initially gave grades to the episodes, I did it on a 1-10 scale).

I would rank Encounter at Farpoint a letter grade higher, if only because i remember watching it when TNG first aired and thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen.

Watching it again at present day, its not the best episode of season 1 but not the worst either. It gets a B or a B- if only my 8 year old self gets to put his vote in

The rest of the grades are pretty much dead on. My 2 favorite episodes are Datalore and Skin of Evil

I thought Code of Honor was cheesy but not the worst
I gave that to 'Naked Now'. I hate that one.
'Skin of Evil' was 'B' for me.

S1 felt totally like the entire cast/crew were getting their feet wet and learned after every new episode was completed. I'm going through Season 3 right now.
