My Reviews

I started making these a while ago. I posted a couple here before and got a couple positive responses. Actually, if I remember right, just one positive response from Mallory. Thank you for that, btw.

Anyway, the reviews have gotten much better lately, and still better they shall become. I'm particularly proud of my most recent one, and would like some feedback.

Thank you.

Nobody has anything to say about them (other than Mallory again)? Man...I'd rather have a bunch of bad comments then none at all. :(

You could probably cut out the first 1:30 minutes or atleast cut it down to a few good 15 seconds of banter. But most of the actual 'review' is a plot synopsis. You're telling the story of a star trek film to a star trek fan base whos been watching it for decades. Develop some opinions on it, people know what happened in the film, and they know the history of the show, but what they DONT know is your opinion. Put in somemore cut scenes or still shots to keep the interest.
Is it scripted..even loosely? That might give it more of a professional feel. I'd try and keep it down to five minutes.

Actually, that particular one is probably the least put together than anything previous. It was kind of spur of the moment when I got the chance to have Howard Tuttleman guest review with me. So, actually, it was almost MORE about the banter this time. That and the neat new special effects.

Good point, though. I don't really give any opinions. The hardest part about my reviews, I find, is that I love everything so much. My opinions are usually "I love it, it's great."

Alright, I just have to try harder. Next one is going to be great.

Yeah, banter is good, maybe try cutting it together with white flashes to make it snappier. You could try skipping between scripted fact and opinion?
And if you're gonna cgi a background, try bluring it slightly, gives a more realistic depth of field.
Sorry, I know I'm getting pickie!

No need to apologize, I love feed back.

You should check out my other videos on Youtube. You may prefer the Course:Oblivion review better. The editing and sound aren't that great, but I give more personnel opinions about it.
