My Reimagined Starships / Fleetcharts

gmd3d

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
Hello all, around 2016 after I made my Classic Constitution Class Starship I decided to have a go at reimagining it and as time went on I made a fleet. I increased the scale and changed a few features.
I will start with my more recent fleet charts.

Cargo Mandible Attachment(CMA)

The CMA
Provides ample power to support not only the CMA but also any
passenger or cargo pod, the CMA only has manoeuvring thrusters.
This is an idea I had for some starships, from the Loknar, Drexler,
Hutzel (these latter two are my own designs) and Oberth variant
Carson class.

Interesting designs, but I fail to see why you increased the original Constitution to 138% length, which when cubed is 265% volume / mass.

fair question, I found when building the Enterprise the first time that things just did not work when adding hull and deck thickness and I also wanted to use the minimum height of 10ft for each deck. it was smaller than I imagined.

But this is why it's my reimagined Starships so I am not locked into the canon of the classic, giving me a free hand to explore. The image below shows the basic idea

Shuttles assigned to my re-imagined Constitution-class
USS ENTERPRISE NCC-1701
Herschel /1
Columbus /2
Copernicus /3
Kepler /4
Huygens /5
Einstein /6
Galileo /7
Sagan /8

The Classic the number given was 4 shuttles, at least in The Omega Glory It is learned that the Exeter had a standard complement of four shuttle-craft. During the search for survivors, Galloway informed Kirk that "all four of the craft" were still on the hangar deck. Whether all Constitution-class vessels were equipped with that number of shuttles is not made clear. I pushed it to 8.

I also added a top EVA hatch

I am not finishing these internal working, after years of CGI modelling my eyes are feeling the strain
so these will have to do.

I hope you like these efforts none the less

Cheers 137th, it's been a long time since we chatted together Jim. back on Colonial Fleets when I was using the name Taranis :)
Oh yeah!! I remember those days. Good times. You’ve definitely upped your game since then. Glad to see you’re still going strong with the artwork. These in particular look perfectly proportioned to the original filming model.

You’re missing one thing from the secondary hull cutaway, though - the bowling alley! ;)

At this new scale you can throw in the swimming pool too :)
