My Prometheus Class Model!

Silversmok3

Commander
Red Shirt
Since there arent any pre-made kits on the market, I decided to use a little personal creativity in making one myself.

It was made over the course of 5 hours with computer paper and a sharpie, and im still not done detailing it.

Progress pics below. It was made in 3 separate parts so it can depict the MVA accurately, and it can be separated as well as put back to one as shown.

cool !!! That's a lot of work you've done here. The Promethueus is one of my favorite design. I'd wish we could've see more of her.

Very good work !

Cool. It almost looks like a filming model wrapped in cellophane.

I don't know if they really have them, but here's a site advertising a Prometheus model.

Also, for any ship, a stereolithography shop can produce a plastic model from a Lightwave file that you download (they're plentiful) and supply to them. It's expensive, and the model would require some prep and painting, and it would be solid, since the machine builds the physical model in layers according to the 3D computer data. A company that wanted to produce models could use that to make their molds.

Thanks for the support guys.I'm gonna finish the hull detail tonight,Ill see about updating some pics tomorrow.

I think you can get much better detail by using very fine markers, instead of thick ones. You could also use some sort of chicken-wire mesh, then mixing paper and glue and put that on top of it; it's probably less fragile that way.
