My Predictions for Season 6

[Joe Washington]

• The Jack-Kate-Sawyer triangle ends with Kate not ending up with anyone. I have a feeling Jack will have bigger things on his mind and we've already had our chance of having Jack and Kate together as a couple in Season 4. Sawyer just lost Juliet, who he was in a three-year relationship with unlike Kate who he had feelings for in the few months they were on the island prior to the time flashes. I don't think Sawyer isn't in the mood to get into another relationship and I rather it stayed that way. I'm hoping the resolution to the triangle happens earlier in the season than around the series finale.
• There'll be two timelines the season will be following side-by-side: the alternate timeline that the Losties wake up in after the bomb goes off and the timeline that follows after they wake up from the alternate timeline and back on the island.
• Jacob will play a major role in the alternate timeline giving the Losties some needed pushes that will help in getting his nemesis, the Man in Black, the ass-kissing he deserves.
• There'll be two separate reunions between Jin and Sun. One that will take place in the alternate timeline between Jin and the past version of his wife. And the other that takes place in the present when Jin finally meet up with Sin after so long.
• Though John's body won't come back to life in the present, I think we'll see him come back with his memories intact and some special knowledge possibly given by Jacob in the alternate timeline that the Losties wake up in.
• An unexpected connection between Jack and Locke will be exposed. Maybe John turns out to be Christian Shepherd's half-brother making him Jack and Claire's uncle.
• Ben makes a heroic sacrifice in the series finale.
• Jack stays behind on the island, fully embracing his fate which he tried so hard to run away from in the past.

Will survive the final episode: Hurley, Sayid, Jack, Sun, Jin.

Will die in the final episode: Sawyer, Jack, Ben. Sawyer and Jack will die at the same time, going into something suicidal together to save everyone else. Sayid will shepherd them all to safety.

I'm not counting folks like Locke and Claire who are arguably already dead.

My one prediction: somehow, some way that will be explained and make perfect rational sense, the series will end with flight 815 crashing in the ocean with no survivors, the plane that Widmore supposedly faked, perhaps when/if all timelines merge. How Widmore could possibly fake such a thing was never explained, and Daniel weeping when seeing the wreckage on the news was never explained.

  I can only hope you're right. This love triangle is my single biggest complaint about the entire series. I really hope Kate ends up alone (you can tell that I really hate her). Besides, Sawyer deserves better than her. Jack will be too busy worrying about Jack to take notice.

I dunno if I want everyone to die, but I never did like the idea that the crash was faked. I want it to be the real 815 in some loopy mind-bending way!

Ever since we first saw that plane underwater, I've had a nagging suspician that this was going to turn out to be the case. Although I'll admit Widmore does seem sincere in telling Daniel just how expensive it was for him to fake.
