MY!!!!! movie

The TOS movies, love'em or hate'em, but did you have a movie idea, circa between TMP and UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY that you thought would have been a great idea? Just a quick synopsis is all we need here...and who would have been your movie's GUEST stars...(sorry, TNG cast not eligible for this thread)

Rob

Uhura is kidnapped by Orion slave traders, and the crew try and rescue her.

...no, I'll need more time to think of something.

Have always thought that the proposed Phase II episode Kitumba should have been a TOS movie. I think it would have been more satisfying that TUC was.

And, yes, I know that the New Voyages/Phase II folks are doing a version of it.

A Federation planet has a virus, and only a planet populated with primitive black people has the vaccine. No, really, imagine it as a TOS movie. If it doesn't work for you, you're not thinking hard enough.

I'm trying to think of another TOS episode (Space Seed having been done) ripe for a sequel. How about some enemy race gets that body swopping machine from Turnabout Intruder and manages to eventually replace the government of a Federation world. That world then leaves the Federation, and...no, I'm no good at this.

Yes, I agree that the germ of the Kitumba story would have been a good starting off point for a film. I sometimes wonder if this is where Roddenberry was going, because right after TMP I remember reading an interview where he said he wanted to do a story about the Klingons that would paint them as more than Mongolian Hoards in Space.

The script would need a lot of work, though.

After seeing ST:TMP, I desperately wanted a sequel that made use of the new uniforms and UFP aliens, with an Andorian antagonist (or protagonist), played by John Phillip Law. I'd just seen "Barbarella", and thought he'd be perfect.

Hoards in Space..I like it. But I must say I do like, for the most part, how the Klingons evolved. But, in hindsight, they may have gone to far with the 'touchy feely' klingons...

umm...I like this already...keep going!!

It turns out the Orion slave traders are employed by Kira, the Intendant--in her tight-leather bodysuit goodness--who is working with Empress Hoshi Sato[who is somehow in the DS9 era with Uhura].

Mirror-Kes (who is in her own leather bodysuit...still possessed by Tieran, who is 'good' in this universe to Kes' evil) joins up with mirror Jadzia Dax, [in her classic mirror-red duty skirt/sans midriff and thigh-high boots]...

I think this is more of a male-fantasy than a story...:guffaw:

And, I'm still trying to figure out what exactly
Sato wearing in this...er...film?

Maybe a Caeliar-enhanced Erika Hernandez can show up...along with Kadohata...Seven...T'Pol....Mirror-Helen Noel...:vulcan:

You need to work Prothos into this somehow...

Porthos is actually a lovable dog who is on the side of good. (And he is actually enhanced...possibly Caelier enhanced, where he can assist the resistance...i.e. he has aptitude for mechanics, and computers. Somehow, he was able to get to the DS9 mirror-world with Empress Sato).

Yareena and Tasha Yar--good characters--are in their as well, fighting for the pleasure (pun not intended) of Intendant Kira; Yeoman Tamura, Zahra Jamal are around as well. Maybe even Mirror Ezri....who is a significant other of Mirror-Leeta...

I've noticed that Porthos is the only 'male' in the main cast....

Oooo, and I noticed that you wanted something between TMP and TUC...

Sorry.:(:shifty:

I've been wanting to make this movie for years. I even have several different renditions of it, but the gist is this: a probe goes far away and gets augmented by a machine based society. It then has the need to return to/meet/surpass its creator (who is on Earth, of course), whom it knows as "Graybeard." It turns out the Captain argues with it and shows that it is mistaken and the Creator's (capital C) name was really GREATBIRD! The machine/being then unites with a crew member -- maybe Leslie? -- and surpasses/supplants the father figure/Creator. I know this is a little farfetched, dare we say, cerebral? but I think it could work.

Title? Something very literary. Perhaps, "Is There in Oedipus No Booty?" Maybe something shorter: "The Freudian Gene."

Think this could work? Maybe just as an episode in the new series.

...filmed in front of a green screen.

What about a movie dealing with interstellar peace? Little tired of wars … tired of space battles … tired of fighting just to make a story.

42 holds a lot of meaning in my life and universe, well, everything really. But 47s are more dear to the Berman era powers that be-ed.

I've always thought that Garth of Izar would have been a neat idea to revisit in a film if they didn't go with Khan (assuming, of course, that the original actor didn't die in the interim).
