I'm hopeing you can help me 'finding' and episode.!?

when i was a kid in the 90's i loved ST, and i have only just recently started watching the show again. BUT there is an episode that still sticks out in my memory, wich i would like to watch again. can you help?`

It's a time travel ep. - TNG i think - where The Enterprise picks up a transport carrier floating in space. onboard is J-L P. - but at the same time J-L P. is still on the bridge.

i think i remember that the pod needs negative energy to repower....

does this ring any bells for anyone??
