My Latest And Greatest Idea For Next Trek Series

There exists an alien race a thousand years more advanced than the Federation called the Cambeck. They are a 100% isolationist people and commit 100% of their time to research and experimentation.

They consider other species as lab rats and one of their experiments has been to erect a barrier around 10 star systems and placed two species within this limited area of space to see how the two species would react to one another under the problem of limited space.

Another experiment has been to flatten and cover a planets surface in a hologrid and create an entire holographic civilisation with each Holographic person given advanced AI to see how such a civilisation would develop.

A recent change in the Cambeck government and mindset of the people has meant a change in policy. The ever increasing number of space faring civilisations and expansion of those civilisations has threatened the speed and development of experimentation.
They have decided that in order to secure an unlimited supply of species to experiment on they must eradicate these species' space faring capabilities and then preserve these species in a pre warp state for later requirements.

The Cambeck build a fleet of new ships, these ships individually capable of destroying an enemy fleet.
After months of destroying ships and securing planets they send one of these ships towards the Federation.

The Federation know of this impending doom however, they've heard rumours and stories of these ships and are alerted to one heading towards the Federation.

The new crew of the USS Kraken must find a way to either bring peace through diplomacy or war.

Cambeck immediately makes me think of a cross between a camel and Glenn Beck. If this was the intent, I support your ideas! :bolian:

They are a 100% isolationist people and commit 100% of their time to research and experimentation.

No, no, no! The Cambeck spend 50% of their time spitting and the other 50% crying and telling lies about the Founding Fathers!

Sounds like an interesting Sci Fi story. Now remove the Star Trek elements which were tacked on at the end and see if you can find someone to make it.

I see that working better as a non Trek sci-fi story. It seems like too limiting a premise for a Star Trek tv series.

HAHAHA:guffaw: That's a good one.

Corretion. The Cambeck spend 50% of their time spitting, 48% of their time repeatedly telling James Kirk that their name is "Cambeck," not "Cameltoe."

The other 2% of their time is spent screaming ship-to-ship at the Enterprise's bridge crew to stop snickering at them!

Why? If they devote 100% of their time and resources to experimentation then how do they eat? Wouldn't they be too busy experimenting to build star ships? Or to reproduce?

Actually the name reminded me of a Camelbak, a nifty hydration system you carry on your back.

They devote 100% of their time to supplying a fresh source of drinking water to hikers and endurance athletes.

So.... you know nothing about what Star Trek is, do you?

The Kraken?! Really?!

Are they related to the Cameltoes of the Humpback nebula?:rommie:

This sin't a bad idea as a story arc for Trek. I couldn't see it as a whole spin off. Lots of thought in this though so far
