A small update. Been working on the ass-end of this thing, trying to get the aft flight deck right.

I decided to make it similar to the port and starboard flight deck on the saucer, somewhat modified.

I suggest to make the nacelles a bit longer, at least at her back, and the sec hull a bit more "fat" in the middle. I believe it will give to the ship a better balance.

I tried her with the longer nacelles, but it just didn't give me the "look" I was looking for. Same thing with the fatter middle - although, when I sketched that "fat" in, I could see the beginnings of a totally different ship I might want to work on!

This isn't much of an update, I just made a negative, to see her in a different light.

It is really shaping up. If Whitefire designed a follow on to the -Ent-D, I think this would have been what he came up with. It has a certain look that is hard to describe. Cab forward maybe...

I was monkeying with it a bit, to see where I would go with it if I were designing her as a successor to the D.

I eliminated the ring by integrating it into the saucer making a whole unit, and thickened the neck just a tiny bit, and widened the warp nacelles. (The shape of the Bussards was a happy accident and I decided to just go with it.)

I also adjusted some of the details to suggest a smaller ship overall.

Still, it would need a lot more adjusting & finishing, particularly the transition where the neck attaches to the saucer.
