My DW figure collection has reached 4!

Worf2DS9

Okay, so it's not that big yet, but today I received my 4th figure today from Mike's (took exactly 1 week!), appropriately enough the 4th Doctor.

I'm continually amazed by the detailing on these figures. I love 4's floppy scarf, and even his shoes are detailed right down to weathering of the leather. I'm also keeping the default smiley head in place because that's the classic look for Baker's Doctor, and I think it looks more like Baker than the "serious" head anyway.

I think it's great what CO has done, personally. Before this, we only had the Dapol figures, which were mostly mediocre, some old dolls from the 70s and the decent but expensive and Dalek-centered Product Enterprise line...

BTW did you get the Robot or Pyramids Of Mars version? The POM version has some major differences.

The PoM was a UK version that the NA retailers didn't get. I got it courtesy of a friend in the UK. Shame that, with that figure, they only painted one side of the scarf and left the back plain white. But for the most part, yes, the sculpts, and quality, on these figures, are amazing.

And my collection is obscene. Initially, it was going to be just the Doctors and select Daleks and Cybermen but...

Mine too. I now have all the available Doctors, Daleks and Cybermen as well as a Tardis, 12" Dalek and my favourite a 12" Tom Baker statue (pictured below).

And considering it came with a piece of the robot, I guess it was indeed the "Robot" version. :)

All totaled, I've got 4th, 6th (Regen version), 9th & Davros, plus my TARDIS coin bank, which is pretty much to scale with the figures, which is cool too. :D

^ Fantastic! All you need there now is Eight. :)
would it be reopening a debate to ask if McGann should be considered a Classic Series Doctor?

ok its very true that he is not a New Who Doctor, but he was not in the BBC TV series, which is refereed to by fans as "the classic series" he is in a gap between the two for me.

I like that 7 has a mini umbrella, I bet he carried it with far more dignity than I did mine yesterday.

There is no question he is a pre Time War Doctor, as its clear the 9th Doctor ended the Time War, the 8th Doctor did not live to see the end of the Time War.

If you chart the Doctors life as P(re)TW & A(fter)TW, the 9th would be the first ATW Doctor.

That's a great statue, Demonland.

Here's a pic of my Classic Doctors. And K9. :)

Looks much the same as mine, however i havnt got McCoy or Baker (6) or Hartnel.

BTW, id your Five from the timecrash set, or did you add the stick of celery? I cant find a Five figure with the celery other than the double pack for Timecrash.

I think the five with the celery was only available in the now expensive Timecrash double pack.

That is indeed where my Fifth came from.

I'm wondering which Fifth we'll get in the 11 Doctors set. I also wish they'd correct the mistake with the mould that made the Sixth so short but I doubt they'll ever fix that.

Good grief!

Pardon a fan from the States (where it's not easy to find Dr. Who figures), but those two pictures of nearly all the Doctors are FANTASTIC. (It's the movie version that's missing, right?)

Tell me guys, is there a website where us "west of the pond" people can order a whole set of the Doctors? (And I'd like a Tardis, or at least a console room, too.)

(Also, is the movie Doctor missing because they never made one of him?)

If you wait a few months there is a strongly rumoured 11 Doctors set coming out although nothing has been confirmed.

I'm missing 8 because it is the only figure that has not been released. I'm just hoping they release it separately and don't make me buy the 11 Doctor set although knowing myself so well I probably will anyway. Especially if they release different versions of the doctors ie: different outfits.

Ebay is always a good place to find bargains (if you are lucky). In the states I have heard that Mike's Comics is good for buying figures at the best prices.

It took me awhile, but I was eventually able to pick them all up at either Mike's Comics, Amazon, or Ebay. Don't think it's possible to get them all in one place though.

Does that include the movie Doctor?

Also, didn't someone say above there's going to be an "11 Doctors set"?

Think that "Mike's Comics" place might carry it?

I'm going to look it up and see if I can find their website, tho' I suspect a comics shop might charge you a higher price, specializing and all.

Mike's Comics is has the lowest prices of any online retailer in NA. I order from him almost exclusively. The only time I order from elsewhere is if he's sold out. And he carries everything that comes out for the DW figures, unless it happens to be a UK exclusive.

Good luck finding the Sixth Doctor though. No-one has him now, unless you're willing to pay absurd prices on Ebay.

The Eighth Doctor hasn't been released yet but is rumoured to be released relatively soon.

And though I'll have collected all the Doctors by the time the rumoured set of all 11 is released, I'll be picking up that one too.

Why is 6 such a rarity now? Baker's Doc was the one that seemed to get the least respect back in the day, and now his figure is out of stock. It seems you can still get him in a Classic Doctors set, but if you have all the others that's not really an option. And I see he's still available in the 'Real Time' blue outfit and Regeneration mode.

This seller is Australian and always seems to have a steady supply of the 6th Doctor.
