I doubt passing the Kolinahr ritual successfully, will allow any Vulcan to feel or react to any emotions.
That priestess in TMP had a pretty big smirk on her face when she saw that Spock hadn’t successfully obtained it.

He still had issues with emotional control, you could see his irritation with Neelix.
Yes, but that is Neelix.
Are you alluding to his forcible mind-melding on the bridge?Same way TOS Spock became Undiscovered Country Spock?
He'll be forced to shut up while they rescue him....on rare occasions. If Spock loses his temper all the time, it's no longer the exception. It's the rule.
I do not recall that, so I need to revisit that scene. Seems inconsistent to me.That priestess in TMP had a pretty big smirk on her face when she saw that Spock hadn’t successfully obtained it.
A normal person would have murdered Neelix at some point on the seven year voyage, it was a herculean feat of stoicism for Tuvok to be only mildly irritated with him. And?
Kelvin Spock and the streaming shows way overdo it and make them look emo.
It give the actor the opportunity to do something other than be stoic all the time. Indeed, you'll note in other shows which have a stoic main character in their cast there will be frequent attempts over the course of the series to have them shed that stoic persona for an episode here and there. That's just how television works.
That can be achieved via imposters (shapeshifters?), imperfect clones, dreams, (holodeck) simulations, alternative reality counterparts and the like; all the while, the original/true Vulcan can remain composed.
The Vulcan way is superior.
That's what the show tells us.Not remotely. It is different and it is a fantasy.
That's what the show tells us.

And Amanda.Well, that is what the Vulcans in the shows tell us.![]()
And Amanda.
That doesn't deal with an actor that wants to use their talents for more than standing around being info dumps.
Successfully pulling off an "emotionless" individual - who has layers to his or her personality - is a considerable display of talent; there is a reason why the industry isn't flooded with masterful portrayals of Vulcans (and other stoic races).
The Vulcan way is superior.*
ETA: tongue in cheek.
