Multirole Non-Trek Warp ship

Armed light patrol/surveyor/merchantman/transport. About 180m long with a Alcubierre inspired warp ring propulsion. A non-Trek ship belonging to a new space-based sci-fi universe of my own creation. A multirole design, this ship has a command module up front, an engineering module in the rear, and space to attach mission modules in-between.

Thank you my good man! Much appreciated. One of several variants on some basic design themes. I think I am starting to nail down a style of the ships of my Sci FI universe!:techman:

Tarek, cool design. Love the multi-role aspect of it. I, too, am working on a multi-role ship for an alternate Trek-verse. But I'm insane enough that I want to do full internal deck plans for an eleven-deck 325-meter long x 100-meter wide cruiser with 350 crew. :ack:

As another newbie to SketchUp, I noticed a couple things about your images. It appears that you are doing screen captures and cropping down in Paint of some such. You might want to check out the command File -> Export -> 2d Graphic. You can then choose JPG format.

If you want to keep using the print-screen method, you might want to select View -> Axes to un-check the display of the red/green/blue X-Y-Z lines.

For the top/front/side views, I like to select Camera -> Parallel Projection and then Camera -> Standard View -> Top/Front/etc followed by Camera -> Zoom Extents (and maybe scroll-wheel to zoom out a little with the cursor centers on the image). This will help make sure all the edges look bee-line straight and not jagged / stepped.

For the three-quarter view, I prefer the Camera -> Perspective and then Camera -> Standard View -> Iso (or simply Orbit/Pan/Zoom around to get the shot you want.

Again, you've got some cool ideas in your head. Thanks for letting them out and sharing with us. :techman:
