Mr Bean and the Spanish PM

Miss Chicken

I have just read this story

An unidentified hacker has briefly hijacked Spain's official website for its presidency of the European Union, inserting a large, smiling picture of comic character Mr Bean.
The supposed resemblance of the bumbling slapstick character played by British actor Rowan Atkinson to Spain's socialist Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero has been a running joke in Spain for years.

rest of story here

and I want your opinion on whether you think Mr Zapatero looks like Mr Bean. Firstly a photo of Mr Bean

Now a picture of Mr Zapatero

Not really.

But I will say that Mr Bean is the absolute low point of Rowan Atkinson's career IMO. Awful, just awful.

I am also not a fan of Mr Bean unfortunately my children were so I had to put up with it.

I much prefer Blackadder but I think that it was the not just Atkinson that made Blackadder great but the other cast members as well especially Tony Robinson.

I can't what I think of the Spanish PM or not as I know nothing about the man whatsoever which probably means his antics aren't as bizarre as the Italian PM's.

Absolutely, and Hugh Laurie was essential to the success of III & IV. I think his George character, which is essentially the same in both shows, and very similar to his Bertie Wooster was the highlight of the show.

I don't think Zapatero looks like MrBean much.

And I loved Mr.Bean when I was a kid, now it's absolutely intolerable to watch it for me.

Mr Bean was fun, but the programme hasn't aged well. It looks immature to me now.

Aside from his arching eyebrows, his hair growth pattern and his roundish face, he doesn't look at all like the Spanish PM. This sounds like something a newspaper would print in an attempt to mock the PM, and mock those who support him.
