Assume that the First Avenger has his shield but no gun. Who do you think would win this battle? Personally, I give it to Cap.

Is this pre-adamantium Wolverine or post-adamantium? Cap is stronger, faster, and more disiciplined, but Wolverine fights dirty and has that pesky healing factor.

How would that have been any stranger than a guy who can control metal and only metal?

It depends on what era we're talking about. If this is World War II era of both characters, then I give it to Cap. If we're talking about present time...Logan if he goes into berserker rage. Either way it's a brutal battle.

I don't think it was at birth. Logan's claws first popped during puberty in "Origin". (Ugh...I just realized how bad that sounds lol).
