Most unique roles in Trek

Laura Cynthia Chambers

Vice Admiral
Admiral
James Doohan would seem to wear that crown, if you count TAS. http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/James_Doohan#Additional_roles

Majel Barrett http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Majel_Barrett-Roddenberry#Star_Trek_appearances and Nichelle Nichols http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Nichelle_Nichols#Appearances also had lots of roles. Shatner http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/William_Shatner#Appearances_as_Kirk http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Leonard_Nimoy#Star_Trek_appearances mostly played people pretending to be him when he wasn't himself.

By "unique", I mean roles that weren't just versions of oneself.

What are some others you can think of from the other Trek shows? Do you think the actors did a good job being other people?

I thought it was fun to see Kirk acting all silly when Lester was in him.

Didn't Patrick Stewart play a holo-character from a Shakespeare play in one of the Romulan themed season three episodes of Next Gen, I'd say that's pretty unique.

Vaughn Armstrong would have to be in here, as would Jeffrey Combs. I also think that Armin Shimerman and Rick Worthy are honourable mentions.

Didn't Brent Spiner as Data play Scrooge on the holodeck, or was it Picard?

When you go to a lot of conventions, you get a sense of who is just playing themselves, and who is really acting.

For example, Robert Duncan McNeill seems just like Tom.

Nana Visitor is nothing like Kira.

Robert Picardo seems just like the EMH.

Marina Sirtis is nothing like Deanna Troi.

Etc etc
