Mortal Kombat:Rebirth Is Getting a Web Series!

Remember that cool MK trailer that debuted on youtube last summer no one knew what it was until a couple days later...that starred Michael Jai White and Jeri Ryan? Well its been confirmed it is being turned into a ten part web series which is awesome. I'm happy that something came from this.

That is cool. I haven't played a fighting game in ages but I'm thinking about getting this new MK.

It's not a video game. It's a live action web series based off a short film pitch that is contained in the link above.

^^ Sorry, I know that, I combined two thoughts up there. I thought they were tying this in as promotion for the new game but maybe that isn't the case. EDIT: I should say, I figured the permission/funding for production was being provided as promotion for the video game. Man, I'm confusing myself now.

There was a new game in development I think when this first hit the web last year...people originally thought it was a trailer of the cinematics. Then it was revealed a few days later that it was actually a pitch made to Warner Bros for a new Mortal Kombat reboot attempt. I posted the trailer way back when and we got some discussion out of it. I don't even know if there is a game still coming out now lol.

Ah! I thought so...interesting. So they're also rebooting the video game franchise.

Yeah and theyre going back to the 2D Fighting style with 2 vs 2 tag capabilities.
