More MU novels?

Voth commando1

Commodore
Commodore
So I just finished reading Rise Like Lions by esteemed Trek Author David Mack

The epilogue ended on an interesting note with the dominion discovering the wormhole.

I've not read the section 31 novel where Bashir and co. raid the MU and Bashir is tried but I do understand the gist of it.

Will there be more MU novels of the fledgling galactic commonwealth, the "nice" dominion, and etc...

Is that a possibility? Even remotely?

Any authors commentary or thoughts would be greatly appreciated

IIRC, Rise Like Lions was intended to be the "finale" for the MU. True, we did revisit the MU in Disavowed, but I doubt there's any serious plans to do anymore MU novels.

The Mirror Universe novels were actually my first exposure to the Vanguard and New Frontier characters.

The Vanguard MU story is what got me reading the actual Vanguard series.

I still haven't read any New Frontier books. I'll get to them eventually.

Same here. Will they follow
the ENT route of having an entirely self-contained MU-set storyline, or will they have the Prime Universe characters crossing over (in seeming contradiction of TOS, where it appeared that Starfleet had never briefed their line-officers on the existence of the MU prior to 2267, if they were indeed aware of it back then). Or perhaps Scenario #2, with some creative twists thrown in that makes such a storyline possible, and somehow lets us reconcile both.

For what it's worth
an earlier set photo seemed to show a dedication plaque reading "ISS Discovery." At this point, we can probably rule out that it was a trick of the light.

I've been thinking, maybe this is more a Parallels type story with multiple alternate realities, the Mirror Universe being one of many seen. The fans will know and recognize it, but to the characters it's just one of many different universes they ran into that day.

It wouldn't surprise me if
we see the Klingon characters cross over while the Federation characters remain oblivious to the existence of the MU.

Something along those lines is what I'm guessing, yep --
some sort of narrative-twist to allow for what we canonically see onscreen in TOS to coexist with whatever they have in mind here.

Perhaps if indeed
Discovery is doing a mirror universe story, then perhaps the outcome of the main cast's crossover adventure is classified top secret or something. Being high level classified is, after all, the logical explanation for why no one in TOS appears to know about time travel or the Temporal Cold War events of ENT.
