More Mass Effect 2 goodness (new video).

Nerdgasm alert! I know there are a few of you who played ME1 who will agree completely. ;)

I say bring on the darker side!

Shepherd now appears to be MIA instead of KIA like in the initial teaser that was released). Hopefully that means we can import our characters from the first game into this one.

This game's not due out until March 2010. That's going to be an agonizingly long wait.

Can't wait:)

I know the pc version of ME had it's issues (Though I was lucky and escaped most of them) and it got me completely hooked. Here's to the second:D

It's not bad though, a 1.5 year wait instead of 2 years... still, I await the whole OMG MASS EFFECT 1.5 backlash that's inevitable.

Whatever, I just hope that the storytelling is better now. In retrospect, Virmire was probably the only ballsy thing they did... while the rest of the narrative was fairly week by comparison (no individual missions for your characters? Even KoTOR had that!).

Damn I can't wait to get my hands on this game.

Is the PC version supposed to be out at the same time as the 360 version?

Show of hands who thought that Shepard was really dead ;)

I think he's undercover and bound to cross the characters sooner or later. I loved Mass Effect and will be playing it as soon as it is released (possibly by then on my new entertainment setup with a new HDTV and 360).

If all their talk means anything, certain characters can't be available based on your decisions in the first game.

I actually didn't mind that bit at the time. I liked have the squad around especially with some of the comments they were making. (I'd like to see more of their background chat).

However, for ME2, I wouldn't mind seeing some solo stealth missions, especially when you've set your character up as a sniper type:)

Well, I don't know if it's possible for Ashley to die in ME1, but she was definitely alive when I was done with the game. ;)

Either Kaiden or Ashley dies in ME1, there's no way to avoid the death of one and the rescue of the other on Virmire.

The problem is that there was absolutely no character development. In KoTOR1, you chose who you brought with you more because of how they would react to the situation and to each other. Bring Candorus and Jolee to Koriban, and they expect you to act a little bad to the Sith. Bring Bastila and Juhani and they want to you try to save everyone.

Here, the NPCs were basically just walking bullet magnets that you could loosely command. I only used Tali, Garrus and Wrex because of that achievement... if it wasn't for that, I would have avoided it completely.
Hell, there are some really short side missions that are given to those characters... but they're little more than collectathons with very little bearing on the story.

I think ME1 was a good base and hey, I finished it 4 times... but ME2 better improve the storytelling or it'll be fairly disappointing.

Right, I remember that.

Yeah, I wanted to dive right into the game when I saw that trailer. :p The wait is going to be difficult.

It's too bad the Normandy (if that is the Normandy and not her sister ship) will be lost. I wonder what happened to the crew. Escape pods, floating out there in their suits or dead.

I hope that was an isolation door between the CIC and the cockpit I glimpsed in that vid. *Crosses fingers for Joker to survive to deal out more sarcasm*

"Even beyond the issue of whether or not Commander Shepard is dead... we're going to tell you and show you."

I wonder if that was a shot at KOTOR2. Also made a big deal about the player character from the first game being missing, but with a distinct lack of telling and showing.

Awesome trailer (well, it wasn't really a trailer, but you know). The game's already looking amazing. Bring on 2010! :D

I want this game on PS3 so bad, I have the first one on PC but me no likey le keyboard and moose controls.
