Moffat gives hints about Series 7+ (spoilers)

It could be worse. You folks should the hate that pouring off the average internet discussion on The Walking Dead.

Which must be worse, at least with Who people will have been invested for years, rather than just a handful of episodes!

Just to clarify, I don't think bitching about a show is a bad thing, I used to bitch when RTD was in charge, and still find myself not always happy now, but on the whole I usually enjoy the show as a whole, and even when the plot might be a bit rubbish watching Smith or Tennant or Eccleston in action goes some way to making up for it. I think that's healthy, but watching a show you seem to detest?

I mean I kept watching Enterprise, when I probably should have turned off, because it was Star Trek, but I didn't hate it, just thought it was incredibly bland. Luckily it picked up, but I think if S3 hadn't shown early improvement over the previous year I'd have probably walked. Trek or not.

I don't think it's a bad thing at all. It's half the fun and it certainly isn't some new thing that started with the Internet. But the problem some people (like me) have is when it goes beyond "constructive bitching" and either becomes outright hatred, as I've seen directed at both RTD and Moffat and also towards various Trek actors and series, or it becomes a case of "nothing is good enough to satisfy them." Like the guy on one of the boards back (my god, was it really a decade ago?) who kept going on and on about how much he hated Enterprise mainly based upon his having his nose out of joint because Paramount never did a Captain Sulu and the Excelsior series instead. Or those in the pre-Internet era who expressed sometimes violent hatred towards TNG not because of anything actually seen on screen, but because it didn't have Kirk and Spock. There are probably Doctor Who critics who hate the new series simply because Tom Baker's name isn't in the credits and not whether the actual stories are any good or not. Or they're frustrated writers who think they could do better than the credited writers (which is why God created fanfic).

oh, yeah, i knew someone like that last one on a comics forum. EVERY FUCKING MONTH they came in and whined about how shite the Ultimate X-Men comic was and how their fan-fic was SO much better.

i actually snapped and posted 'well why the fuck do you keep coming here going on about it? just fuck off and do your fucking fan-fic and leave us alone'. then chickened out and edited the post.

I'm the opposite I guess. Yes there are stories I don't like, but I prefer to be positive and to just try and froget about those rather than going on about it.

Who is really on eof the few things I enjoy about life. So I'm not going to spend my time bitching about it.
