♪ ♫ Bright light city gonna set my soul, gonna set my soul on fire. There's a whole lot of bits that's ready to burn, so get those stakes up higher.
There's a thousand pretty mares just a-waiting out there, and they're all livin' Discord-may-care, I'm just the chaos god with love to spare. Viva Las Pegasus! Viva Las Pegasus! Viva! Viva! LAS PEGASUS!! ♫ ♪

Solid, but nothing spectacular. B. I liked that Flim and Flam's conflict was genuine (if manufactured by another), rather than one of their schemes, and that they followed the traditional route of subverting the main con to get the bad guy to talk in his moment of apparent triumph. "You caught me monologuing!"

I enjoyed this episode so much! New locations are always interesting, and Las Pegasus doesn't disappoint. I like how they managed to actually cleanse the image of Las Vegas and modify it for the world of our pony friends. It looks like a really fun vacation destination but without the seedier side of things to take away that atmosphere. Gladmane is an interesting character. He seems like he's your best friend, but you know deep down he's up to something, though I have to give props for the faint Elvis impersonation.

We get to see Flim and Flam again, though at first I thought they were merely up to trickery by pretending to be angry at one another. I was wrong about that, which puts me square in the "I understand where Applejack is coming from" camp. Fluttershy, as always, has this enormous heart and compassion which just cannot abide by unkindness, and so she's willing to give them a chance, something Applejack will have to address later on.

The resolution isn't surprising, though I did think for a moment that Gladmane had outsmarted our heroes, but of course Flutters can be awfully sneaky when she wants to be, and the end result was good enough for me. I did hope that Flim and Flam would have been more appreciative, but since they are hucksters I guess that would have been too much to expect from them. I must admit I am impressed that they managed to sell tickets to a non-existent performance by outright telling ponies they would have to use their imaginations and pay for the privilege. That takes [friendship lessons] to pull off that kind of scam as brazenly as they did.

I liked the new ponies, especially the acrobatic dancer pony (♥), and smiled at all of the in-jokes. Neat location, new ponies, fun little jokes? This episode gets an "A" from me.

I couldn't help but laugh upon seeing Sigfried and Roy as ponies. At least in the ponyverse, Roy seems to be okay.
