Ruminations:
This is the 100th episode, and that is a long summary/press release! I have kept away from all spoilers on this one, so if you want to talk about it in-thread, please put it behind spoiler code! From what I've seen people are going cuckoo for cocoa-puffs over the idea behind this one, and are generally excited, and why wouldn't they be? M.A. Larson is the writer behind this episode, and has promised that it is one not to be missed! That is why I have opened this thread a little bit in advance, to give people time to discuss things before the episode airs. I don't miss an episode of pony anyway, but this is definitely one I plan on watching with great interest.

This episode thread will also feature a more nuanced poll, as this is the 100th episode, and that only happens once, so enjoy!

Found an interesting thing in town Monday, it's a line of fruit flavoured alcoholic drinks in basically jam jars, with old fashioned style labels, got myself the Apple Pie flavour one.

Plus ordinary cider obviously.

There's no way whatsoever to rate this episode. It has transcended the A-through-F rating system. It sits at right angles to every number line, and can only be graded in hearts on the one-to-five star system. Σ/10, would watch again.

The only really episode breaking thing for me was Gummy's internal monologue but yeah he always creeped me out.

Have to give them credit for taking fan theories of the characters and then not actually running that far with them, the little backstories were nicely done and more toned down than I thought.

Some awesome cameos, one in particular during the ceremony that was completely unexpected, poor little guy.

So LyBon isn't quite a thing, but I like how they gave both her names and the two of them are still really cute together. People are saying maybe that's why she has all the jobs/voices, trying different aliases.

Vinyl being mute is going to be a permanent thing, which I'm alright with at this point, it would be too weird if she talked now, maybe she really is mute. She has a gold album on the wall behind her so obviously she does make money from her music.

Pity BronyState is being so dumb about it, so many hateful comments about the episode and one of the mods trying ot ruin it for everyone. Seems parts of the fandom aren't too happy. Which is a pity since this one was especially for us.

The Twilicane did it for me. I mean, c'mon.

Plus it's a play on the Bon-Bon/Sweetie Drops....well, not exactly controversy, but disagreement over what her name is. And possibly a reference to this EgoPhiliac comic as well.

Given how inflated the numbers were this week, I'm not sure how many more were people turning up to watch than usual or a ton of trolls there to rant deliberately.

I can't really take it all in at the moment, have to wait and get the HD episode Monday and watch it again.

And Derpy is called "Muffins" in the credits, Tabitha was the one voicing her again. She must have been practising the voice since season 2.

She got the Derpy voice just perfect this time! And I've maintained this from the beginning that Derpy does have things that make her different, but she is celebrated for those differences.
I was cheering throughout this episode!

In other news, Derpy is now Muffins.

Still voiced by Tabitha, though, which is surprising given that she sounded exactly like Andrea Libman. (Though Tabitha is an incredible vocal chameleon; during the one Littlest Pet Shop episode I ever watched, I was sure Pepper was voiced by Cathy Weisluck right until they ran the credits.)

She was the one thing that connected the whole episode which was nice, they've been considering this one for a while now from the looks of it.
