Just make Spider Tack™ mandatory for all pitchers.

In Japan, NPB has been using a sticky ball that seems to take care of the problem:shrug:

Cubs second baseman Eric Sogard pitched in relief for the second time this season...and was the only Cubs pitcher who didn't give up any runs or hits in today's game.:shifty:

The Cubs are in full June-Swoon mode, making no-name pitchers look like Cy Young. Starting pitching has been our weakness all year, but add that to a flaccid offense. We've been lucky so far that the rest of the NLC has been as bad, but that won't last for long.

God, Jake Arrieta can go fuck a duck.

Boy, I sure am glad the Cubs traded an ace for four lottery tickets this past offseason!

The Reds got their first baseman, manager, and a Padres fan ejected in the top of the first at today's game in San Diego. (Yahoo! Sports)

I'm remembering a ridiculous bench-clearing brawl between the Reds and Pirates back in 2019. David Bell (who had already been ejected) ran all the way from the clubhouse to join in.

Seriously, guys, take some anger management classes or something.

Hate to hear that. Lou is a Tampa legend. I was working at a Circuit City there one day when he came...unshaven and dressed like guys who had been sleeping under a bridge. I chalk that up to someone who just doesn't sweat the small stuff than any lack of character. I saw the game on TV when he went on an epic rant at Tropicana Field...the one where he threw first base into right field. All the Tampa fans were egging him on all the way. The (Devil) Rays were a truly awful team when he managed them, but even so, it was obvious that he was a terrific game day manager. All the best to him.

Damn. I hope you get why I mentioned him.

I remember his temper when he managed for the Reds. I’ve seen a couple epic meltdowns back at Riverfront 30 years ago.

Game? Context? This isn't a live gameday posting thread, it would help to know what you're talking about.

Well, at least this time it was actual good defense and not because of shitty baserunning.
