Yes i very much miss it, Its my personal favorite out of all the star trek series. Wish there was a movie and that would of done me. But stupid paramount decided not to..
Let me explain... I don't really miss Voyager the show. I miss certain characters on the show. To be perfectly honest, the writing bothered me a lot when I started re-watching it on DVD.
Well, the DVD's do keep me company. I miss it about the same as I do the other Treks. I'd just like to have some new Trek running on TV, period. I'm not a real geek at heart, so to me most of the Sci Fi on TV these days is drivel. I've made an attempt at watching that Stargate Universe show. Can't do it. I need TREK!
I saw most of Voyager as reruns as I never had the chance to see the original UK airings, so I can't say I miss it in that sense. I, too, miss certain characters rather than the show itself, and I could certainly do without Chakotay and Seven pairing up!
I bought 'Voyager' on DVD and every once in a while have an old fashion 'oink fest' --- the DVD's include scenes that were cut from the episodes. The interviews with the cast and they share memories, it's always fun.
I don't necessarily miss Voyager, but rather 24th century Star Trek all together. I really loved how the three series made the Trek universe a lot bigger than the original could ever imagine, and spending a decade feeling attached to that universe in some small way was quite fun, especially since it was the decade when I was growing up. I liked the movie and all, but it was really just a reminder that we're never going to return to the time of Voyager and DS9 and that kind of sucks.
I miss Voyager, DS9, and TNG. I think tomolak said it best, I miss the 24th century and its many corners that the three different series peaked into.
I miss VOY a great deal, but, more than that, I miss Trek on TV. Maybe if ENT had been closer to what I was used to from the franchise, I wouldn't miss Voyager as much. It's been nine years since Voyager left the small screen--so it is high time for a new series. I think this is one reason why I am so disappointed with the way PB has treated the series. First, they pretty much ignored the series, and then, when they finally get back to writing Voyager novels, they are caught up in the problems of TNG/DS9--rather than being a separate story line. I want more of the Voyager crew experiencing the traditional "exploration" adventure. Wrapping TNG, DS9, and VOY into the same story line is too much. I'm hoping that Beyer's next novel will resume that sort of adventure and restore Janeway to the crew in some spectacular fashion. Go, Kirsten!
Perhaps I've been affected by Kellin's amnesia inducing xenophobic race, but I do not recall that event at all! ;-)
