Miscellaneous question

I was talking to an acquaintance yesterday and he mentioned that he wants to get hold of a potent strain of weed called "Romulan."

So I looked it up by Googling "romulan seeds"

What I found out was disturbingly wrong.

Federation purchased Romulan as a complete strain in 1996 in an attempt to rescue it from extinction. In the 1970s, this variety was brought from Califronia to British Columbia by a Vietnam veteran, where it was grown on Vancouver Island. This variety was nicknamed Romulan after people joked that the high "could dent your head," producing ridges like those of Star Trek's warrior-like race with the same name.

<snip>

Romulan has not lost its head-denting capabilities, and claims the title of Federation's most potent strain.

I believe those would be Klingons, and the Romulans were never part of the Federation. :rolleyes:

What is it with pot heads that they can't even get the basic facts straight about a show they've watched a thousand times while stoned? :klingon:

I found it by googling 'spock weed', but I'm sure it was made by someone here, tafkats maybe...
The image was made by someone here (don't ask me by whom, at the moment) and the opening post reminds of how long I've been out of that particular loop; I don't have any idea when the "Romulan" tag came in, exactly, but that used to be called simply indica.

What would seem to be the same source cited by the OP gives this, also:
Couch lock is likely and concentration may be difficult to maintain.
This is (or was) no exaggeration.

Consider yourself part of the furniture.

Yep, you found the same source I did. Romulan is a variety, while indica is one of the two widely recognized species of the genus cannabis, the other species being sativa.

some romulans could have had ridges under those helmets
:P

maybe the weed made them so wacky and they hit their heads so often they got ridges.
finally they just gave up and wore helmets to prevent further damage.
