Mirror Universe discontinuity? (spoiler alert!)

I'm on the final Mirror Universe anthology, Shards and Shadows and just finished James Swallow's The Black Flag. Is it just me or is there a discontinuity between The Sorrows of Empire novel and The Black Flag? I read these all backwards as I read The Sorrows of Empire novel right after it first came out last year. This got me back into Trek lit after a ten+ year hiatus. Since then I've read most of the DS9 relaunch series and am now finishing up the Mirror Universe anthologies.

In The Black Flag, under a request from Admiral Spock, the Endeavor destroys Vanguard station, or at least damages it and then the freed Shedai destroys it, killing Reyes. However, doesn't T'Prynn save Dr. Marcus and her staff from Reyes' clutches to work on the Genesis and Memory Alpha projects for Emperor Spock?

Maybe it's been a while since I read the novel version and I've read so much since then that I'm just getting things a little mixed up.

There is no discontinuity. I made sure the events of the expanded version of the novel tracked with the relevant stories in the Shards and Shadows anthology.

Well, I thought you would've but I'll be darned if that isn't the way I dis-remember it.

I think I'm going to go back and re-read The Sorrows of Empire just before Rise Like Lions comes out.

Thanks for chiming in David.

Only two more weeks until Vanguard: Declassified and I almost can't wait!
