Been watching TNG (last trek series to catch up all episodes on) and just finishing season 4. Struck me watching introduction of Barclay, and esp that episode where he suddenly gets super-clever, that he reminded lot of David Hyde-Pierce (Niles in Frasier) who I can sort of see as Barclay-type.
So curious if anyone else has interesting alt-casting suggestions and what that might have done to crew dynamic. Only rules are:
* alt actors must be same age/type/race/gender as cast trek actor
* no silly suggestions
* no actors already considered (eg., Michelle Forbes as orig Kira)
